I went to the police station

I was fuming after my short shift at work, and the assistant manager coming after me. So my friend met me and took me to the police station to see what can be done. Shockingly police can't deal with harrassment if it is at work, unless its outside of work. But if it happens outside of work then yes. They suggest I contact HR which I have, and the ministry which I am. She verbally attacked me again today, and I was ready to snap and jump over the counter. She stomped off when I didn't take into her stupid behaviour

Definitely be on the phone with the ministry of labour. Also co tact human resources and make sure your employer is aware of the steps you are taking.

Is´nt that a kind of "mobbing" I think they call it? How awful. Before I had to put up with than one of those kind of people as I needed the money to be able to pay the rent and food for my Sons as they were small then. I would look for advice too. That should not be going on as you have your rights too.

@ricki_911 Good for you. So now you don´t have to put up with her anymore. Hope it all goes well this time. I would have spoken up so many times too but like I said I had small children to feed and keep warm so I swallowed anything I felt like saying back to them. Good luck with this one.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I don't think it's over yet. I told HR wouldn't surprise me if she comes after me violently I said look at what she did when I reported her for stealing. She's been verbally attacking me. I go she's very vendictave and backstabbing she has a lot more issues which stem from bad parenting. Not going into full detail she finds this behaviour normal she's a control freak.

That is very true and it does happen often. I know many who dealt with it. That is why I kept quiet as I needed a job to pay bills but now that I got another full time position I can speak up.

You should definitely talk to your HR and the ministry. She shouldn't be doing this to you. I hope that you're able to find a solution.

@ricki_911 It doesn't seem right that no one is doing anything about it. That the HR is letting her stay. It's sad that the other lady left.

@dodo19 Yes, it is. HR has contacted me back got more information. But I told him, once she knows HR is catching on I believe she will come after me more. Hence why I found another job before reporting in case she does fire me. Also, as she was stealing, money missing from till and she's been very suspicious asking for people to log in, and then harrassment. I said if she is fired I believe she will come after me outside of work violently

I have been reporting everything to HR and I know this is why she's targeting to me. As the other lady was reporting her but has since left the job.

It makes work nearly impossible when you feel attacked like that. I hate that the local police can't do anything about it, but it sort of makes sense. Are you going to follow up with HR then?

@ricki_911 Well I hope something gets done about it. It sounds like, if nothing else, she needs to be move to a different location. Discrimination against a disability, however, should be grounds for her being dismissed. I know here they don't tolerate that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Here by law the same even in their policy for the company. But also harrassment towards me (nothing to do with the disability).

I see why they cant they were very nice about it. I have submitted an additional report for today ontop of several reports. Just each shift gets worse, I know she will continue as I am a threat who do you think has reported her for discrimination on a disability.

Go to the Labour Board and file an complaint. They will look into it.

My friend said the Labour board won't do it but the other ministry does. I'm still trying to double check online.

That sounds like a hostile work environment. You have a lot of self-control I am super proud of you. I think I would have hit her. Hopeful hr will take from here. and have a meet with her. Let her know she need do her job and that it. It she having problem in live to deal with. And that out on her workers.

I find it utterly moronic that police will get involved with certain things and not others. Don't you wish you had a remote control for people? You would only need one button - mute LOL

I hope so. Even if it stops for future employees. It's just sad it all started when 2 of us stood up to her stealing and reported her.

Next time pull up a recording app on your phone and ask her to please repeat what she just said. Contact HR and file an incident report regarding the incident today. Call the police back and ask if they can simply take a report to begin a paper trail. If she's as petty and vindictive as it sounds, having that started before she escalates may be a good step to take.

That is what the police suggested as well.Issues is she can write me up for having my phone on the floor. I am right now writing up and incident report for HR and sending it. I will call the police as they are closed (well to the public until tomorrow), but I have the officers name and card.

I know she is trying to push me so I say something then she can fire me.I know its to get back at me as I reported her stealing in october. Also, the whole discriminating against my disability after that meeting she has been attacking me for everything since. She knows I went to the ministry she is being investigated.
