It feels like WINTER here!

A couple of months ago, I was commenting on how it finally felt like Fall here in Northern California. I could feel a slight chill in the air, especially as I woke up. Now, it feels like Winter--almost like REAL Winter. The cool air on my feet as I sat here at my desk was bitter cold. As a Midwesterner (living in California), I enjoyed the feeling. I brought my tomatoes, favorite succulents, and snow peas in last night. I'm not going to put them back on the balcony for another hour or so. How's the weather where you are? My Filipino buddy is going "nuts" with this cold, as I don't think it hits the 20s F at night very often there. I'm not sure about Northern India. I'll have to ask my next door neighbor friend. The picture tells it all--except it "fake." It's me in Austria a couple of years ago in January. It never snows at this elevation in Coastal California.

It's down in the 40's there in the daytime. I think it was 29 this morning. I feel bad for my grandson who has to go out in it. But, he got a nice new jacket to add a layer with.

I was out doing some wood stuff with a kid client this evening. It was in the 40s but felt cooler. I never could find out how cold it got last night. Felt like about 37 F.

I did wonder about the photo. But it did snow there, right, when the photo was taken, so it's not completely fake. Just not the weather you're getting currently. Wow, we get an actual face to envision for you Horse. You don't look horsey at all. We are having temps in the upper twenties currently and we don't like it at all. Snow is hitting the western side of Michigan both yesterday and maybe today too. We were supposed to get maybe 35% of snow today for about six hours, but we got a dusting yesterday and a bit more on the cars and ground overnight. Not looking forward to walking in this stuff what with my legs not working right. Sometimes I'll bring a small cart out to my car to ensure my making it there okay, but once it snows a lot it's harder to push any size cart. So, we'll see how it goes.

Of course your Filipino buddy will be going nuts with the 20s F because here in the Philippines because it's equivalent to -6.666667 Celcius and here when it is already about 16 degrees celcius , the Filipinos will be shivering with the coldness already . By the way , you look good in that picture . Handsome , i should say .

@TheHorse ha ha ha ! I am sure he can take your teasing well . ha ha ha Well, i think most of us have suffered a back ache in our lives . I had my share too , although through taking a medication for two days it was gone already . Just a sore muscle i think . I suppose , Thai and Mexican foods are spicy ? I lve spicy foods though , but just moderately spicy though .

Heh heh. I will have to tease my Filipino friend a bit more. Oh, thanks. I chose a decent carbon unit for my time in human form. But it ages, just like those of normal humans. This morning my back hurts! I am most comfortable in equine form, though I miss Thai and Mexican food.

That sounds like a normal Midwestern day. In fact, when I was in Austria in January, I expected some kind of bitter cold. But the weather basically reminded me of my days in Illinois and Iowa.

We're supposed to be going towards summer here in our country but the northeast monsoon is blowing cold winds that it feels like an extended Christmas :) What's this that I've read somewhere here that a dam in California is in danger of breaking off?

@TheHorse Read that they have increased released more water in the main spillway and water is now no longer spilling over the secondary spillway and reducing the earlier risk.

Down here in the middle of Texas tonights low will be 38 with tomorrow being 43/28 then Friday 48/33. I'm originally from Nebraska and I don't miss the blizzards or the -20's with windchills in the -40's. But still, I would be tickled spitless if my temps were 80/60 period!!!! All the time @TheHorse .

@TheHorse In Nebraska the first snow is usually at Halloween and one year, it snowed on my BD which is April 28th. The day started at 70 degrees so I treated myself to a movie at the local mall. I was wearing shorts, a halter top and sandals. After the movie and wandering around the mall for 3 hours, I went to leave and saw all these people standing at the doors of the mall. As I made my way through the crowd, the people were staring at me. It was a blizzard and the cars were already covered with snow. I made my way to the car, which was about 500 feet away and had to use my bare arm to remove the snow from the windshield. I prayed all the way home that nothing would keep from getting there.

@TheHorse Be careful what you wish for I guess. And it's easy to remember the good bits but conveniently forget the parts you didn't enjoy - whether it is bygone days or simply places you've lived.
