Finally - A New Computer!

I've spent the last year and a bit functioning off of mobile website interfaces, pubic library computers with limited access to the world wide web, and borrowing friends' computers when push comes to shove (or family's if I'm REALLY stuck). Needless to say, coming into an additional bit of cash yesterday led me to the decision that it was time to spoil myself a little and get myself something I've wanted for a while now. I could pick between two options, one an HP and the other a Dell. I ended up going for the Dell since it had WAY better specs and was structurally more sound - the HP had an inch and a half gap between the screen and keyboard when open - which is kind of necessary with a three year old around. In the past, I've learned to avoid Acer (the only other model that was in my price range) and Toshiba, but have had some decent luck with Gateway and great luck with Dell. What's your favourite laptop make? Least favourite?
