XII IX MMXVI : Waste of 'half' our day!

I woke up a little late this morning then picked us up some breakfast. I did my regular online routine just for a bit, while waiting for the technician to come out to fix our internet. When he came, I watched him "attempt" to fix the internet. He left a few times to go check & replace some main lines out on the street.... Ultimately, he was unable to fix our connection and escalated to the outdoor techs. A few hours later, the outdoor tech came by and told me on her end it looks good, so it must be a problem inside.. END RESULT: We're being tossed like a YO-YO! Tomorrow another tech is scheduled to come by. I'm going to call and tell them forget it! Right now our internet WORKS but restarts about 5x a day and I would rather have internet work than for everyone to keep opening & closing the line or send someone with experience! On the bright side, the holidays are around the corner & I can't wait to spend time with family and loved ones! Photo attached is an old photo from a mall in Irvine from a few years back. @infatuatedbby .....I would be so upset. I sure was when I had the problem this summer. But Cable One came through. I hope you can find a better company.

@celticeagle I know what you mean.. the internet works but its annoying when I am working in the middle of a survey and get disconnected!

Yes, I am trying to see the bright side/highlights instead of the bad moments. Internet is still not resolved.

Any chance it could be the modem or router that is acting up? My gf had to switch out her router a few years back when she was having similar issues.

@moffittjc Yes! Though Tech #2 said Tech #1 should have given you a new router anyway. But if its working fine ~ I don't want to change it?!

Oh sorry to hear about your internet. Does it restart alone or do you have to do it when connection breaks?

Internet will restart on its own, no biggie but I hate it when its in the middle of my surveys then I don't get credited & can't continue where I left off =(

I hate Internet issues, the techs do not seem anymore good enough to find where is the problem. It can be a defective router, or a problem to the plug where it is plugged in.

@LadyDuck Yep! As of right now we are fine since the internet works just restarts a few times a day. I don't want more strangers in the house. The guy had to work in the room that had the router which was the loft Then he left and when he welcomed himself back in the home he went up the stairs "opened a different" room door My boyfriend was like excuse me? Since he was waiting upstairs and I was waiting downstairs The guy goes oh I forgot how do you forget???

Yes! Tech #1 changed to a new router and said it wasn't the router so we're using our old one. He changed the jack port (where the plug is plugged into as well).. Then he said he fixed the ports in the streets or changed something yet the problem is still 'showing on his end'. So he escalated the situation to the main outdoor techs & they said its something the tech #1 should have spotted.. Another tech was supposed to come out today & was a no show!

Nope ! Connection is fine just periodically the connection will disconnect/reconnect. A tech was supposed to come out today but never did...

@MarymargII No installation was done a long time ago :) It was waived since we already had AT&T previously. Previous renters used AT&T and everything was set & ready to go. They only had to come out and activate the internet line .

Were I live I have problems with the internet. And i just stop calling them to fix it.I plan on getting different internet company.

We had a tech here to work on one of our TVs. Everything was up and running without too many problems. First time ever in Florida!
