Which came first?

Time old question which came first the Chicken or the Egg? This is my thought which makes a lot of logical senses when thinking about it. So a long time ago cell dived and mutated till it made a creature and that creature and soother creature that where a like made more and over time survive kicked in either that creature changed to fit its environment or it died. Probably at some time this creature and another creature not a like created a mixture of the two of them and those creatures made more. Till at one point we get down to something like a chicken or a chicken and that chicken and other chickens together made chicken eggs. So in some weird they might have both happened at the same time but probably not. I'm no scientist but I didn't pay attention to biology classes and have three kids so I know how that part works.
