It is not like it was in the old days

I like a few new features, but globally I regret the old myLot. Members are not different, but the site is. The main difference is that we can block others, delete their responses in our discussions, and their comments in our responses. The result is that we rarely have fierce discussions like in the past, or we can have them only with people able to accept them, so it is certainly more "politically correct" than before. It is not yet forbidden to have fun with friends, but funny discussions are also more rare. Trolls and rants have quite disappeared...

It may seem different to some due to the absence of old friends, but I am fortunate enough to have worthwhile new friends here.

We need you back so this place would have a semblance of what it was before! You were an iconic figure in the former Mylot so your presence would be a great addition

I think the only difference now really is things are much slower than they used to be. Not a whole lot of people around lately. Some days are better than others though. It is still my favorite place to be though. =)

There are some differences I have noticed during the year and a half (almost?) I have been here, MysD. There are people I carefully avoid now that I didn't use to avoid. I have stopped using endearments to the majority of the people here, unless I specifically ask and they agree it is alright to use them. I use to talk here so much that I easily went well over the target payment here. Sometimes now, I rush the last few days of the month just to push my bank over the line so I get paid the next month. I am no longer feeling that this is a fun place to play. (Yes, there are still some people here I can and will play and be silly with, but many of the ones I used to enjoy are no longer here.,,, Some of them quietly slipped away. Some of them felt like they were driven from myLot. (I understand that feeling, as well.) Part of my problems stem from the meds I must take. Part of my problems stem from being in pain a lot of the time I am here. Part of the problems stem from being easily distracted now... (I may go to look up something for myself or someone else and forget what I was doing or find something fascinating that I keep pursuing until I forget I was even on myLot at all.) myLot has changed, we have changed and our friends have changed. No, I haven't gotten into the habit of complaining like this while you were gone. You ask questions and I tried to answer them. I do hope you have been feeling much better lately.

I'm sometimes dressed in my Disney Winnie the Pooh outfit when I MyLot. My lower half doesn't seem to get cold. Except for my feet, which I sometimes soak in hot water. I've only been here a year and a half or so, so I can't comment on the "old days."

I was here for quite awhile years ago and just realized it was up and running again so I've been here again for a few days. I honestly can't see it's much different. Even the types of posts are the same and the questions. There are different people here but I see a few names that were here before. It looks a bit different but all in all, it's not.

Ahhha, you're back, As the world turns events cause changes and that's true about mylot as well, age has nothing to do with it.

when i'm here, i go to 'most recent discussions' and 'most recent activity' to see who else is online. even when there aren't that many people, you can just leave responses and comments and post a new discussion. then the next time you log in, boom! your notifs is bursting and your bank increased.

I have not been here for many years, but it's already more than one year. I miss many friends who migrated to other sites, but I still see some great friends every day.

I have been here a year and a half and it isn't different to me. I know it is different to some long timers.

I would say "actions change everything" - nothing is constant. Crocs, not slippers, too.

Things do tend to change over time. I don't find this site that much different. I don't know about the slippers questions. I don't wear them.

One thing is that the best response isn't being implemented anymore . I miss that .

It's kind of quiet now, @mysdianait. So much different from the good old days when everyone was so crazy in each other's discussions. How I miss that time and all my good old friends. I am barefoot in the house because there is no winter here.

The way it is now reminds me of the way myLot used to be when I first joined, although a bit more tedious to navigate without the old category system. I still haven't gotten used to the whole tagging thing, and I'm afraid I'm probably never going to figure out how to properly use them on my own discussions. I think perception has a lot to do with everything seeming different. I had an interaction with a customer a few days ago that really underscored that idea for me. We had an issue with a certificate she had--it had expired, and she was rightfully disappointed that she wasn't able to use it. She decided to wait on the purchase, thanked me, and left--the whole thing was extremely respectful. A little while later, a coworker who had observed the situation commented on "that woman storming out of the store." I haven't worked with him very often, but it seems like he has a negative impression of the people we serve, and it shows in how he perceives situations. And slippers... hm, I haven't owned a pair in years. Can't even stand to wear socks unless I absolutely must, so I just go barefoot in the house.

I don't know if it is different here now as I have only been here several months I think things become different because we change as we grow older I wear slippers when I'm home no matter what I'm wearing

......... now from before and if so why is that so? I agree with it, Now and Before is different.Now got 3 alphabets and before got 5 alphabets ( 1 alphabet is repeated ). Because All trust what you see. Since I can see there is a difference that means there is difference. .............. we grow older and in that case, is it because we change rather than our surroundings? Yes it does, now my body doesn't support as it used be. It's natural phenomenon of losing teeth and then brain and it got nothing to do with surrounding. ................ in the winter when you are here and would it be different if you were dressed up? My floor got cold so I gave him my blanket. I don't wear slippers in house, you see they can make you slip. Fractures at this age is not affordable.
