I made a water lily

Peoria, Arizona

I don't know why, I just really wanted to crochet a flower. Of course, me looking as a list of crochet flowers, yeah I have to go after one of the more difficult ones. It wasn't difficult, I just didn't have the right type of yarn so it did not come out exactly as the picture but goodness is it pretty. But...what do I do with it? Should this be apart of a bigger project? Suggest me something please! It was a lot of fun to make and an easy pattern to memorize, so if I need to make more I can.

It looks very intricate. Can you form a block around it and use it for squares in an afghan? Is it small enough to add to the side of a hat?

I don't think it would be small enough for a hat, and perhaps I could do an afghan, I never did one before thoug haha

A water lily is normally white or pink. I have a lot of white. So...yeah

@DesirousDreamer Yeah it would be. Or you could make a bunch and figure out a way to add stems and make a bunch of them and put them in a vase and use them as a decoration for your table

@Tina30219 I don't know if a water lily would look good as a bouquet, I do want to make a bouquet some day!

It is very nice looking. You could take a Christmas Tree Ornament hook and attach it to it and hang it on your tree as a Christmas Decoration.

That's a good idea. I am thinking of making it into a purse. make a lily pad and that can be the purse area.

Very pretty! I can see it on a cloth or accessory, I'm not sure about the dimension, but I think of tees, hats, headbands, bags and so on. Okay, I see the laptop in the background but those come in different dimensions too.
