A Call For Help From Techno Boffs My Apple IPad is blocked

Yesterday I wrote a post about my slow notebook. My husband was supposed to have my normal laptop ready today but he hasn't finished working on it. I also have an Apple IPad which has now been locked as I couldn't remember my Apple ID. I know my password and was going to call Apple with the serial number so I could get it working. However the hubby reckons he will be able to fix it but two months later he hasn't done anything about it. I've trawled the Internet for solutions but not been able to find anything. Phoning Apple can be a pain and going to one of their stores for help this time of year will be a nightmare. I was wondering if anybody has encountered this problem and if so how was it resolved?

I gave up and went to the store when this happened to me. Maybe a weekday morning would not be too bad? Funny, I wrote about a problem too, non-technical though.

Call the help center. They may be able to help over the phone.

I have never used the iOS, but I did find this solution provided by PC Advisor:
A step by step guide on what to do when you've forgotten your iPad, iPod or iPhone passcode. Fix and restore your iOS device with iTunes.

Have you tried the password recovery? usually they will ask you to send stuff on your email account so that should help for starters... I think
