Do you do more shopping from online stores or physical stores?

For online shopping, I feel like I'm taking a chance cos the info or picture shown might be misleading, and there's the risk of spoilt goods, but the upside is, there's lots of choices and some things are really cheaper. So for things like books, toys, bags, basically stuff I use I would buy online. Other things like clothes and especially shoes, I would like to try them on physically. Would you like to share your experience on shopping? Which do you prefer?

I am the same way. I like to shop online for things that I will use around the house, books, toys and such. I will also buy the kids clothing online but not shoes and certainly not clothing for myself. I enjoy both equally. I must admit that it is nice to shop online and earn cash back with such places as MyPoints and Swagbucks.

Well now online stores are getting more and more popular, they are a threat to physical shops. Shops are trying all ways to attract customers and boost sales.

I look at clothing online but haven't had a lot of luck in buying it. The few pieces that I have ordered online haven't fit properly and the sizes weren't true. So I don't purchase clothing or shoes online.
I love Amazon for ordering things as people give lots of reviews and I can get a good idea of how good a product is. I can also set my expectations based on those reviews. I'm not usually disappointed with Amazon purchases.
Now I did just order a diamond pendant for a Christmas gift, it arrived last night, and while it's beautiful, it came in a plastic zip lock bag. I can't imagine why it didn't arrive in a box. I posted a review regarding the packaging and my disappointment.

I never tried to order online even if I want to, because it's hassle free but there's always a hesitation. Especially on clothes and shoes, I wanna give it a try personally.
