Everyday my steps surprise many friends

Everyday my mobile phone detects my steps. I think there must be wrong with it as I walk quite a lot of steps everyday. In fact normally I will walk about 10000 steps in a day. But usually it will be about 30000 steps from my mobile phone. I just let it be. But yesterday it detects me to walk as 77145 steps in a day. This is crazy. Even if I walk without a stop, I don't think I can walk so many in a day. My friends start to ask me what I was doing yesterday

You see phone applications do not give you correct picture of your steps. Their are sensors which record every moment of yours, it may not actually be a step. Every moment when recorded is counted as step, therefore, you get inflated figure.

@youless - You should not rely on such applications.

Are they accurate? I want to be conscious with my steps now because I spend lots of time sitting or lying. I need to make a lot of steps because I know it's good for health.

Sounds like your phone is a bit too sensitive to movement maybe.

There are many apps like that. Some can even detect your heart beats.
