Hi Mylot! I've missed my mylot friends but these days my time seems to get spent in between dance, my parents, preparing for Christmas and holidays and yes, I will own up to it - poor time management on my part. We here in Minnesota have been experiencing some kind of polar vortex weather system which makes Elsa from the movie "Frozen" look tame by comparison. One nice thing is that Christmas and with it all of it's lights and decoration make this time of year much nicer and happier. I am actually really enjoying it. So I don't go overboard decorating. This year I decorated my tree in pink ornaments and multi lights, hung multi lights around my bedroom window, and of course my Nativity set is up in addition to my singing Christmas tree, kitchen table decorations etc. My gifts are bought and wrapped and my cards are sent out. I do like getting all of that stuff done. My parents and I will celebrate on the 21st December - we will have a nice meal, open gifts, watch tv, and go to play bar bingo, a Wednesday night thing we've been enjoying lately. On either Christmas day or Christmas eve we will go to my cousin's house leaving either Christmas day or eve for us - my parents and I. About the only thing I have yet to do is to make my "ugly sweater". How are you getting ready for the holiday?\\Photo: Mine

It's good to have the planning done and most of the tasks finished. It's too hot for 'ugly sweaters' here but Christmas T-shirts are pretty popular. Have a great day.

Ah to be able to say that... it is negative numbers for temperature for the past few days here. THough it's your summer - right?

I'm way behind most people as I've only just got my tree out today. The lights don't work, so if my son can't fix them it looks like I may have to buy a new (artificial) tree. You seem to be organised - well done.

Oh no! Is it a pre-lit tree? I've heard some people have trouble getting the lights to work with those. I hope it gets figured out

@FayeHazel It's a fibre optic tree, and my son can't get it to work. I may just buy some string around lights, or if there are any bargains on trees I'll get a new one.
