Give and it shall be given...

Year's ago... I was dubbed the "fashion queen"... I knew how to dress, and even help other's dress. I had the ability to take anyone's closet and teach them how to expand their wardrobe just by what they already had. I always loved giving to people, and often times I would give boat loads of clothes away to fire victims, single mothers who could not afford to buy niece clothes, and sometimes I would take them shopping to buy anything they wanted. Because of that...God always kept my closets full of nice clothes. I planted seeds of clothing, and God gave me a huge harvest back. At the time I lost everything...I actually had 2 walk-in closets (one for summer and one for winter clothes)... Plus a wall-to-wall closet filled with nice dresses, coats, evening gowns...etc. Again... You can't outgive God. Well... This season, clothes have not been as important to me, mainly because of being homeless, and really having nowhere to wear dressier clothes...plus I have no room for them right now. I have not wanted to dress up that much because of my looks, but just now getting to the point, where I want to dress up a little. Anyway... Because I have had no need for that many clothes right now...I have been concentrating on food. I love to cook, and love to share my cooking with others. It gives me no greater joy than to see others eat and enjoy my food. So...instead of God giving me a boatload of clothes now, I am getting my harvest back in food. I believe that it is because I am planting food into other people's lives. My next post will reflect such a testimony.

@teresatrotter Sorry about your leg problem and the issues it causes. I hope you find something as a private cook and enjoy it. Do they know what your leg problem is? And can they take care of the problem for you?

At one time I did... I was even a successful Interior Designer. But my disability causes my legs to swell so much, I can't find those types of jobs where I would not have to be on my feet all day. I am hoping to find a job as a private cook for a family. Then I would not have to be on my feet that long. Even a couple of hours will make my legs swell really bad.

@stbrians - Giving has never been my problem, but I know it can be for some. I totally understand where you are coming from.
