oh, hello

December 22, 2016 11:12am CST
I'm not sure when I was last here. It may have been yesterday, or it may have been the day before. Time seems to have been both hurried and unhurried, and has frayed at the edges, melting into itself. It's blurred, you see. Christmas began in earnest when College broke up for two weeks on Tuesday. It's now only Thursday but I feel as though I haven't been at work for ever, and I keep thinking it's Friday. Time is blurred, you see. The decorations are all up, the presents are all wrapped and I really should put that box of wine in the fridge so that I can begin drinking it. I don't generally make New Year's Resolutions {because I don't see the point in setting myself up for failure} but I am considering making a couple when 2016 becomes 2017. 1. Stop eating, fatty-boom-boom. 2. Write more, and keep my blog updated. I haven't written in it since about August. I am such a failure. 3. Go to the doctor about my fatigue and aches and pains. I have twelve months in which to do it, so I should find Oompf in that time, yes? There are two identical adverts for Urostemol under this discussion box. I am being asked if I have a frequent urge to urinate. No, I don't. And I'm a bit annoyed that they feel the need to ask me twice, like they know something I don't know, but should know. I am having a bad hair day, mostly my fault for dying it and leaving my head wrapped in a damp towel whilst lunch-eating. It made my fringe go all skewy and now it just looks silly. Even the straighteners didn't help. And that's it really. I've lost Oompf again. It doesn't feel like Christmas. And I'm a bit sad. Just another day in the Land of Poppylicious.

It does always seem to be a tad anti-climatic. You'd have thought we'd have learnt by now.

@Poppylicious It fees like a nice birthday - (not his), but family and friends - the magic side of Xmas goes with childhood - there may be some fun nights in bars and at parties - the meal is great for all but those cooking it / washing up afterwards - the rest is sleep and watching Xmas TV

@poppylicious I don't know why Mr Internet keeps asking me about my urination habits either. It would seem that he's the one with frequency problems, not me.
