Remembering Names

I am not good at remembering peoples names. Even if the name is too easy to remember I would forget it the next time I see that person. Especially when I have more than one new name to remember a day (due to my work).
Sometimes I would ignore it and not call a person by his/her name. But the longer I ignore it, the more embarrassing would become to ask for that person's name again.
How about you? Would you remember a name easily from the first time?

I'm not that bad at remembering names but I'm terrible when it comes to birth dates and birthdays

@Madshadi yes but there are people who are good at it, my mother is 84 and she can still recall birthdays even dates of deaths. Wonder what it is in our brains

@louievill some people are just gifted like that. I also know someone with eidetic memory. It is truly amazing. But we who don't have that gift maybe excel at other things better than them.

@Madshadi it helps if you repeat it in a discussion...like after he/she says the name, you ask again to make sure you heard right, then use it a few more times in the conversation. People shouldn't get upset because you forget.. simply tell you find it hard to remember and kindly ask for them to help you out with it

@Madshadi On most occasions,I could remember the names.But there are times when I forget names.It happens to everybody,I suppose.

For some reason, names and faces are easy for me to remember, as well as numbers. We are all different. Others have talents that are more valuable than what mine might be.
