MY HEART THROB HAS PASSED

When I was much younger, I was crazy about pop star George Michael. I thought he was the most handsome man I had ever seen and I did countless sketches of him. Even though I got over my infatuation long ago, I am still very sad to hear he has died at the age of 53. We have lost quite a number of celebrities in 2016 and I can't help but wonder how many will leave us in 2017. the picture is one of my sketches of a young George Michael.

i remember his song "careless whisper, Wake me up before you go-go, and Last Christmas". indeed, he is a music icon whose achievements will surely be missed.

This saddens me too and he was always a favorite artist of mine and I grew up listening to his music since my parents like him too. He was a leader for gay people when he was true to himself and as a lesbian I respect him for that. I will definitely miss him. He was still young and my parents are older than him. We have lost many celebrities and it definitely is sad to think about more deaths next year. You made a wonderful sketch and truly have a gift that I do not possess. I am more musically inclined.

It is sad, especially when they die so young and could have given so much more to the world - Michael Jackson, Prince and a host of others.Do you sing, or write music?

When I was a teenager, I used to like and idolize his song " Careless Whisper." His boyfriend said that he will never stop missing his gf Michael as long as he lives.

Sorry about that - it should be records - not albums. Yes it is a pencil portrait. I paint as well, but I find the pencil is quicker and less messy. No I haven't done any showings.
