What was your favorite present from Santa this year?

I bought myself a new Martin D-18 guitar earlier this year. I sleep with it often, but like everything I've ever slept with in my life, it started finding things to complain about after a couple of months. My reading lamp flickers off sometimes. My house is too cold. My sheets are mismatched. I contacted Santa, Santa contacted LL Bean, and everything is now right with the world. I have a new set of flannel sheets and pillowcases, my guitar plays only the notes I ask it to, my feet are warm, and I wake feeling toasty and refreshed. What was the coolest thing Santa brought you this year?

A lighthouse with the scripture verse from Psalm 119:105 on it. That would be my favorite. I liked all of them though, even the jewelry I got from my older son. I don't have the heart to tell him I don't wear jewelry, so I'll have to wear it. It's really very nice.

@TheHorse I should. Your Bible probably needs to be dusted and have the cobwebs blown away Here it is: Psalm 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (KJV)

Santa sent, via my daughter and husband. a fantastic gift: all of the Christmas Tales that I have sent to friends and relatives through the years, all of those beauties all bound into one book. One Tale was written by hubby and one by daughter. Its light shines out on Amazon. Quite the treat!

That's really thoughtful! But there'll have to be a Second Edition in a few years.

I've been quite spoilt with lots of cool stuff. Marvel sock, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, noodles (my favourite food), books, games, etc. but I think my favourite might be the dart set and dart board from my eldest son. He always gets me what I ask for! Now I just need to work out where to hang it.

Ah, that could lead to some "darts bonding" between father and son.

@Jessicalynnt Sounds interesting! One of my kid clients gave me a gnarly knife. I've hidden it in a drawer.

What is the folding knife for? Hunting? Fishing? Camp outs? Sounds like a good Christmas.

@TheHorse There is a French and an Italian comedy, an Australian documentary and and a coming-of-age film, a 'quirky Indie film' and an English drama. I think that's about it.

Uhm... I received an offer I can't refuse... from one friend... LOL! I just have to make the time to go uhm... get it... I'm glad Santa was able to get you something that makes your life a little easier, if only because it stops the Martin from complaining so much!

@TheHorse Any convenient place with free wifi. About once a week, I'd walk next door to the video/espresso place, or drive to the senior center, or to the Safeway in my neighborhood. Now I'm online every day, and for hours on most days. Believe it or not, I do get other things done, like laundry, dishes, meals, etc. Plus, lately I've also managed to binge-watch season 6 of Game of Thrones. I'm gobbling up the internet while I have it. Gotta pay for it for a year, so I'm getting my money's worth!

Some grea food, of course, but a new very portable little radio, AM, FM & shortwave, called a Grundig Edition (a great name in audio from the past). It helps with my addiction to NPR and BBC. Nice sheets! LL Bean has great stuff.

@TheHorse It is always interesting. They broadcast all night on my NPR station, OPB in Portland. I think NPR is very "real" with news and listen for hours during the day. You have KQED in the Bay area, as I recall.

I have several good ones that I received this year that I really love. My boyfriend got me a Fitbit charge 2. His mom got me a mini George Forman grill and a throw blanket that is chevron and my favourite colours. My parents got me the comforter set that I wanted and the blender I wanted for Christmas and some filters lens for my camera.

@TheHorse They are good and very useful when I am in my dorm room. The food at the college sucks & I almost have a full kitchen with my appliances. Plus I can take them all with me when I move out of my parent's house.
