There is warmth and a surge of energy when you just say nice things to each other. One feels good to start and keep a good conversation going. myLot is just like those nightly fireside chats.
Engaging in discussions here at myLot makes one feel good. And you can participate in so many discussions all at once.
Yes at myLot we keep the old world charm but update it with modern conveniences.

hmmm..by old world I really meant former times like when we say the good old days. But then old world is actually Europe, Asia and Africa collectively, isn't it? The world known to us before contact with America.

PS...you mean first world.
Old world and first world are utterly different things.
Actually I think first world is frowned upon as a word these days.

In a lot of ways I certainly agree with you
BUT, in my opinion, where mylot goes wrong is you can't really have knock down drag out discussions/arguments anymore as admin stamps on them
They need to bring back sections like in the old site and have an 18+ section...I do not like this 13+ requirement to be a mylot member.

You are right. This is a global cafe. The world has indeed shrunk. Time and distance don't matter anymore.
