Debbie Reynolds has died just a day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher. Debbie suffered a stroke and was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital this morning. Just moments before, Debbie had said she missed her daughter and wanted to be with her. These were her last words. Debbie was born Mary Frances Reynolds on April 1, 1932. The film 'Singin' in the Rain' with co-stars Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor, propelled her to stardom. Debbie had two children with husband Eddie Fisher who later had an affair and eventually married Elizabeth Taylor. I remember seeing Debbie Reynolds in films when I was growing up. She was very lovely, a great actress, loved and admired by millions. What a sad day.

Debbie was just gorgeous in Tammy. All us schoolgirls wanted to be just like her. :)

Even though she was 84, I am more shocked by her passing than Carrie's. I guess due to the circumstances.

It seems unbelievable doesn't it? She was such a pretty, vital person.

Yes, I was a bit of a fan when I was young too. So many of the old stars are leaving us, but in some ways it i nice she'll be joining her daughter.

Apparently she had had quite a bit of sickness and it wasn't a bad age.

It is quite bizarre really that they should both go within a day of each other.
