What is the weirdest thing you found in your food?

I found hair, little bones, and stones at different times in different foods. Recently, I was eating some dried figs when I bit into a stone. Thankfully I wasn't biting very hard and did not chip a tooth. Here is a picture of the stones. The worst was buying some chocolates and bringing them home to enjoy when I saw some live bugs in one of them. That killed my appetite! What about you? Ever find something weird in your food?

I guess that is not too bad. Is this in food you made or food you bought?

No, I never found any of the things you mention. But once I found a small piece of coconut shell in my porridge.

When I used to eat mess food, little stones were common.

@avi256 Yes, you're right. And that's why we should never eat food in a rush. By the way, have you ever found little stones in your food?

@Ayuriny Yes I did, and since I eat food little fast, I used to realise the stone only after first bite crush.....Thankfully mes days are gone..

I found a broken safety pin in my fried rice I am so glad that I saw it before I put it in my mouth. We complained, and they apologized many times and gave us free sodas.

@Porcospino How it got into the food will remain a mystery.

Glad you saw it as it could have caused a serious problem once ingested. Good that they tried to make you feel better by being apologetic and generous.

@1hopefulman Yes, it could have been dangerous if I hadn't found it. The restaurant owner didn't understand how the safety pin ended up in the food, but he felt really bad about it.

Hair, as far as I can remember. Luckily I saw it before putting it in my mouth

@Madshadi Yes, it is always better when we see it and can take it out. I think? If we don't see it, we eat it, and we do not know it was there. I think?

We had some pot pies once that were full of little chunks of hair. They went into the garbage. One of my kids found a rubber ring in an ice cream bar. It was from a machine. I sent it to the company with a letter and they sent a coupon for a new box of ice cream bars.

@1hopefulman Yes, it was a piece of their equipment mixed into the ice cream. They did the right thing.

That's pretty disgusting and dangerous (hepatitis, AIDS, ect)! Did she bring it to their attention?

@1hopefulman yes she did. Thankfully she had opened up her sandwich to add more ketchup and noticed it and had not bitten into it.

Fruits count? I grew up in a farm with lots of fruit trees -- Rambutan, Lanzones, Guava, Jackfruit, Mangoes, etc. -- they've got different types of "moving things" inside them.

Consmers should not have worry about getting things like this in our foods. It is so gross to me. You are very lucky you did not chip a tooth. That is painful and an expensive fix! I've gotten a grub in a can of peas once and a orange beetle cocoon in a bag of pistachios. I refuse to buy either brands anymore.

I already have enough problems with my teeth and don't need anymore. I wonder how the rock got in there? I may not buy that brand of figs anymore either as I'll be always concerned. I don't blame you for not buying those brands anymore. It is definitely a turn-off!

Thankfully, I've never found anything bad in my food, but my father got some Chinese food once and found chewing gum (that had been chewed) in his food.

I think hairs are quite common. I recently found two hairs in a box of dates. Did you still eat it or did you refuse to eat it?
