Instead of the snow, we got the rain...

I drive people crazy and I know it. Since I no longer have to pay someone to shovel a driveway, I pray for snow all the time! Of course, most everyone I know up here hates the snow so they don't want to hear it from me. I just think the snow is so beautiful. Instead, we have this grey, dark, dreary day where it's raining like crazy and it's so cold. Great for sleeping and I was working on sleeping the day away when my buzzer went off and a package arrived. So I had to get up. Tomorrow will be a very busy day around here and I'll need to be up early, so I'm going to try my best to stay awake and get to sleep at an earlier time (if I can). Books from the library are coming tomorrow. A grocery delivery is coming. And prescriptions from the pharmacy are coming tomorrow. Then I'll be all set to snuggle down for the weekend. Hope I get some good books. More about books later! -Claudia-

It has looked very gray outside here today too. No sun out at all.

Now that it's dark out (night time dark, that is), I can hear the rain hitting the windows and it sounds so soothing. Now it's time to grab a book read while the rain relaxes me. So much better than looking out at the grey all day.

@CRK109 Now it's snowing here. But only supposed to get an inch or two. I can't wait for Spring!

It is raining here right now and I'm so glad because we needed it! I tried to nap earlier but the kids woke me. Ugh. Oh well, early bedtime for me.

haha Children do to you what my cat does to me! I have yet to get a good night's sleep because my cat loves waking me up. I hope you do get to bed early and sleep perfectly!

Those books will make for a wonderful weekend for you. I loaded up too. I do hate snow since we still have to get rid of it ourselves and drive in the darn stuff.

I never minded driving in the snow, although once, when I drove out to Cape Cod, I went into a skid and almost hit someone who was walking in the road. That just terrified me (and that poor man!). I've had to pay so much for snow removal the last few years that I am thrilled to have a winter without that cost for a change. But I am sorry for everyone who still has to endure all the work that goes along with snow.

@CRK109 So glad you can now have some extra money due to saving on snow removal. I have to learn how to use the new snow blower in case my husband has to travel. I don't want to learn how to use the new snow blower, but the snow here is too heavy for me to lift with a shovel.

I always tell myself I will stay awake and not allow myself to fall asleep. Yeah, most of the time I fail and sleep for about a half hour. Then I go to bed and "think" I'll rest well. Yeah, not happening. So, I hopefully will rest enough to make it through tomorrow then I have the weekend off. Hope you get some great books!

Sleep has become such a nuisance! I wish so much that I could just live without needing sleep. I could keep myself occupied so well without it! lol But, no such luck. I just hope I can sleep tonight or else everyone will see a bleary-eyed me tomorrow! hahaha (and yes, I hope so, too! I need a juicy book to read!)

@CRK109 I will be a stiff and sore if I don't get sleep. I won't be able to perform my work duties as quickly and without whining. LOL

We had rain overnight but gorgeous weather today. Sunshine and mild. I wouldn't mind some snow though...I appreciate spring so much more when we've had a real taste of winter first.

Oh I do envy you that weather today! Now it's gotten very windy so I hear the rain against the windows and that's a sound I love. Wish those books had arrived today!

@CRK109 I got to spend a couple of unplanned reading hours this evening. Our power went out for 2 1/2 hours. Thankfully we are fully equipped with battery powered lanterns and the like.

Well, that is great that they deliver the books to you. I am a big fan of grocery delivery but I don't think we have a pharmacy around here that delivers.

We have two pharmacies in the area that deliver and I recently heard that I could also get deliveries from CVS, although I was told that they are much more expensive. Right now I get free delivery from my pharmacy, and when I called for an over the counter med today, they called me back with some less expensive alternatives, which I really appreciated!

@CRK109 That is like the old days when our pharmacists actually cared about us and knew who we were!!

It's nice when you don't have to shovel the snow. For the most part, our landlord deals with them. My husband does shovel the patio so we can get in and out through our patio door, if needed, but for the rest, it's our landlord. It's a large complex, so it makes sense. Hopefully you get your deliveries when they're supposed to. Enjoy!

It must be so nice to have a patio! I always wanted a patio or balcony, but our building doesn't give us either one. But I love my little apartment and when the weather is nice, we have a gazebo outside where I can go and sit and read. And there are little benches around the property, too. So no complaints here. Just sitting back and waiting for the snow now.

@CRK109 it is nice to have a patio. I like having some space that just ours to sit and put our outdoors stuff. At least you can enjoy some outdoor space. It's better than nothing.

How nice that everything you need seems to be being delivered. That would be cool. :)

It's a real blessing that I can get so much delivered here. Although I do miss the days of jumping in the car and going to get what I need sometimes! But I am not complaining, trust me!

Do you chose the books or are they chosen for you?

Both. I give the librarian lists of books and authors I'd like to read and she finds those for me as well as other books of the same genre, to give me a taste of new authors. I'm definitely reading a much wider range of books now than I ever would have on my own.

I think it's too warm out there for the rain to freeze, although I'm not sure how cold it will get overnight. Wow, you've got snow? How much do you have? I hope not too much! Stay safe, my friend!

I love the rain in warmer weather, so I can get out and walk in it. But when it's cold like this, it just feels like getting pelted with ice.
