When do you put away your tree and Christmas decorations?

I usually do it the weekend after New Years. I love the look of a Christmas tree and the festive lights so I tend to postpone it. I know a few people who keep a Christmas tree up all year...I am not sure about that..it seems like it would lose it's specialness by doing that..What say you?

I was going to put it all away today but wound up taking a nap instead. Oh well there's always tomorrow.

Usually I keep it up until after New Years as well but this year our home is on the smaller side and it was in the way. So, it all came down today. =(

@snowy22315 I usually have mine up until February! I have to wait for my sister to come take it down. But out of respect for my mom who was Orthodox I keep it up till after Orthodox New Year's on January 14

We normally take it down a few days after New Years. it is bad luck to keep them up after the 8th! I don't know why but we are sticking with it haha! I want to be that kind of person that keeps a christmas tree year around and decorate for each holiday. haha it seems fun!

Christmas trees are so cool! Some people put a lot of work into their light displays too, and keep them around a good while.

This year I decorated early. The tree was taken down on the 28th and the garland came down this morning. The wall hangings are more winter themed, so they and my snowmen will hang around a bit longer.

@snowy22315 Same here. It would take me probably 2-3 days to do it, give or take.
