Those Strange Comparisons

I was thinking about the last post I wrote (More of the Nightmare), and when I got done I realized my uncle sounded "white trash". Is that a term used more than just in America? It's like he's not even part of the same family my mom was. My mom's family didn't have much, but if you met her (she died last year at 55), you wouldn't know it. She got her Masters degree late in life, but even if she hadn't, she was just classy. Education doesn't give you class, that's for sure. But my uncle...wow, he has lived up to the term white trash. I don't use that term because I don't like calling any person "trash". That's just not something I feel comfortable using. But it's shocking to see where someone starts their life, and how differently they are years into the future. My late grandfather was a treasure, and so was my mom. And I just love my grandmother so much. Three our of four isn't that bad!

It seems that in every family, or most of the families, there is always someone that doesn't fit.

I agree, my mom is one of the classiest women ever and she started life with very little. White trash transcends class lines for sure.

White trash is an all American term. As I said, every family has at least one black sheep.

3 out of 4 isn't bad. Every family as their "characters"
