According to Worldometers there are an estimated 7.5 billion people on the planet. There are 4 distinct generations among the 7.5 billion people. One group I will name but it is not mentioned a great deal.
Traditionalist- are those you will not hear a great deal about. They were born before 1945.
The 4 main generations are:
Silent Generation - those born between 1925-1945
fun fact about: the children were taught to work hard and they often kept quiet
Baby Boomers- those born between 1946-1964. I almost typed the infamous Baby Boomers, lol
Generation X- those born between 1965-1984. I thought the greatest generation. can you tell which generation I am apart of? lol
The Millennials- those born between 1982-2002. I call them the technological
generation.
Which generation do you think is the largest? Which generation do you think is the greatest?
I have 4 millennials, and I have great empathy for those you are millennials and for those who are raising millennials.

I'm a Baby Boomer (1951) @SDM1984 . I'm thinking probably the Millennials are the largest number right now.

@SDM1984 I wonder how much longer us 'old folks' can maintain the status.

Apparently, I am Generation X and, yes, I agree, we are the best :D
I have a millennial. I also have a child born after 2002, though, so what would he be? ;@ My millennial child is going to be 17 soon. He's nothing like some of the accusations of what millennials are supposed to be! He's amazing, hard working, focused, as well as being loving, kind, and thoughtful. Oh, that would be because we Gen Xers make such awesome mothers! :P

@SDM1984 yes we do! I expect most generations think themselves superior in some way. To be honest, though, I don't think any generation, as a whole, is better than any other. I don't like a lot of my own generation but then I don't like a lot of people in any generation! :P actually, I do usually like most people but anyone from any generation can be good or bad.

We sound bias, lol! The funny thing is every generation probably thinks they are the best.I agree with you our generation really has a lot to bring to the table.
Have a great New Year!

Hi Tara, I have not seen a lot about the generation born after 2002. I was thinking they have not lived long enough to make a name for themselves, lol. I lived in VA when I was in the military. My cousins were in the Navy their as well. Happy New Year to you and your family!

The Xers who are raising Millennials need a great deal of understanding. The millennials were born into so much that we were not exposed to.
