It Has Been 12 Years

Today, January 2, is one of those days like the terrorist attack of 9/11 (where you remember where you were and what you were doing that day) as a tragedy struck. I will never forget the call I got around 8 or 9 pm from my Mom. My Uncle (my Dad's Brother), who was only 57 and a half and well known and loved in his Church community, dropped dead of a heart attack! It was so sad because he was full of life. My Dad was very grieved because that was his baby brother who died. It had always been the two of them. There was a 10 year age difference and so my Dad had this love for him. My Aunt (my Uncle's) widow is still alive these days. I have not seen her as often as I would like. Just say a prayer for her today. They had been married 36 years at the time and I know this date will always haunt her and grieve her.
