Having a little fun editing I’ve just been spending the last 30/40 minutes editing the photo I took today, doing like changes and then much bigger ones. The image and the background are great to edit. It’s not that often I do spend time editing because of stock photography I do, although with Shutter stock and the other being so picky it does kinda spoil the fun of photography, ok I can understand, they just don’t like creativity so much. Well, this time I’ve turned the photo into black and white which, I always think gives more depth, love black and white. I think I love this better than I did to start with lol. I added it to my own website as a free download.

I would never have imagined a flower looking so good as a black and white image. You have done a brilliant job. Do you get paid for stock photos?

Thank you, yes if an image is sold on say, Shutterstock, then you are paid a commission depending on the what size was bought to what you will receive.

I like taking pictures too. And do alot of editing but mostly just the color contrast to find the right light. I hate photoshop when they remove and change almost everything that something looks fake. Anyways, your photo looks awesome but kind of sad interpretation. I love photos with meaning like yours. :)

Thank you, I'm not a big fan of Photoshop, like Lightroom better.I don't do a lot od editing unlike some people do. Some people can make photos look amazing while others don't. A little editing is ok. I will have to view some of your photos :)

Some photos certainly look better in black and white. Sepia works well for some too.

Black and white photography provides depth in greys and shadows giving mood. That's why black and white movies are often more effective than color.
