Yes, my co-passengers were loud and irritating. They didnt pay a heed to others. They were a bunch of students travelling back to college after their vacation and obviously in a jubilant mood, but that doesnt mean they have to be inconsiderate about others travelling by the train. They talked, joked, laughed on their top of voice..I could see many irritating passengers but nobody revolted. And then I had to finally intervene...very politely I told them. "Look guys, lets do a role reversal. While I would b ecstatic to be at your position reliving my old college days n give a damn to others. But what would u have done, if you were at my position..who have to wake up as early as 3am,get down at a station in this cold winter morning n then board a bus to a remote place to attend office work???" And there was pin drop silence, they apologised and went back to their respective seats, silently had their dinner and went off to sleep.

Wow, I am glad you told them how rude they were being, and that they responded politely! I hate loud talkers on my public transit!!

Well done you for speaking up. I'm sure some of the other passengers would have been grateful too.

@nomus24g In Australia, you just might get yourself into a fight depending on who you spoke to.

I am glad you said that. Some times, people are so engrossed in themselves that they forget about others, though not intentionally. It's always good to remind :)

I've encountered young people like that. They seem to want everybody to listen to their conversations. It's nice if they don't talk too loud
