I tried to resist

You know how the past year or 2, ladies seem to be wearing leggings just about everywhere? I tried to resist the fad, as I am not fond of the look of my legs, and have a personal opinion of what they should and shouldn't be worn with.
This Christmas, I received a pair as a gift. I will admit, I was hesitant, but they feel great.
Now comes the hard part. I am tall and have a proportionate torso, which is longer then the norm. I am adamant that shirts worn with leggings cover your bum(I insist this with my girls), so finding shirts to fit the bill may be difficult. On one hand, this means that I can get crafty and will likely make myself some shirts. But finding the time and a skill appropriate pattern will be my challenge.
Once the girls get back to school maybe I will have a bit more time to conquer this.

I love leggings, yoga pants they're so comfortable I live in them! I always wear shirts longer than my bum to cover them or if I'm not - my cardigan or jacket is
Cardigans are usually long!

Leggings are nice, with a long enough top of course. I just find it too cold to wear them these days, unless underneath another pair of pants or a skirt.

I tend to stay pretty much inside during the winter. Leggings will not be worn to shovel or play outside.

@Morethanamom I understand, I spend alot of time out of doors here lately, so kind of impractical for me. Otherwise I would be wearing them more myself.

I definitely wear tunic tops with my leggings and I do wear them all the time. So comfortable.

I personally don't care for the look of leggings as pants on anyone. A four year old might get away with it. Even they need a long enough shirt. I'm old fashioned....I don't believe pyjamas should be worn for a trip to the mall either.

There are lots of patterns out there. I have been perusing Pinterest for ideas. I will be checking out my local sewing shop soon to see what they have on hand.

I do agree with you on that. I love wearing leggings but when I do the shirt must go over my butt. They just look so much better that way. Enjoy them because they are super comfortable and once you start wearing them you will want to wear them all the time. !
