The work day turned out alright, though snow continued

Eugene, Oregon

Considering that a "ten percent chance of maybe an inch of snow" turned into a 100% chance of about four to six inches, the day was not bad. Driving at ten AM was still iffy and cars were sliding here and there, one got to within three feet of me in a slow slide. Once I got to work, there were few customers, but we were ready for a major weekly seed delivery, about 4000 pounds of various bird seed blends divided into twenty pound bags on two pallets. The truck driver is a great guy and even had a snow shovel to dig out where he dropped the pallets near the back door. A steady hour or so of me and two women co-workers bringing in and stacking the seed and we were done with that job. It kept snowing most of that time, so we had to towel off each plastic seed bag as we brought them in. I stuck around an hour or so longer to help stock the displays, then left early, so worked only about four (tiring) hours. I am looking forward to dinner soon and some nice red wine.

I was expecting it to be a longer, harder day, so it was okay.

Do you have to go to work tomorrow in that mess. It even snowed here which is rare.

There were many bags, yes, and I had my hands on most of them. The store gets that amount at least once a month and about half that much weekly.

We do not like driving in bad weather, yet notice everyone in the area seems to be on the road when it is snowing, hailing, raining.

It snowed here last night. Not a lot, but enough to get the snowplows out this morning.

I think we have maybe two or three dump trucks with scoops on the front, all very busy yesterday.
