Online discount wars are on in India this early part of 2017

As I am writing this, I can see advertisements coming from some big Online fashion and other Online sites like Jabong, Myntra, Flipkart( I think it was offering Big Sales day between 16 and 20 Dec 2016), Amazon, Craftsvilla, Limeroad etc. One gets enticed by those 60%, 70% and even 80% offers. Only on closer look, one does gets to see a 5000 Rs. product being offered at 80%, making a user to have a closer look even if he or she does not actually want that dress or product. Or a * detailing that so and so products don't come under 60% or 70% and so on. Then, shipping charges add up. Anyways, some very good products do get offered at good rates and "if one has good money" there is no problem buying them. So in your country also, are there such Online discount frenzy?
