yes daughter made another big pot of chili. she said its cold today and i am making good chili. Funny thing, she does not make it the same as I do. Guess her first mother in law taught her the southern way? Its good. I mean I like most chili if its not hot tasting . I make it with onions fried in the good size ground meat chunks, then drain , and put in some cans of stewed tomatoes or even regular can tomatoes cut up. some chili powder, a few kidney beans and cook a while. she puts in corn and different kinds of beans, and trys to make it thick. she makes corn bread to go with. I like it soupy so I can put in lots of crackers. But it was good. Once I took a pot..(years ago) to a church pot luck and one of the Mexican friends there asked what it was His family was really loving it, but he said its not how we make it. I was total loving his families tamale pie. So at the end of the day, we exchanged the take back home containers of food. i did try and take a photo but some reason my phone is not doing justice to food lately. lol How do you make yours and with what?

I would never put corn in chili. I try to make it soupy, though it never turns out that way. I'm from Wisconsin and we make it different here from anywhere else in the US. In fact I've had people tell me - Oh, you're from Wisconsin, aren't you? I start out by cooking the elbow noodles. While that's cooking I will get the ground beef cooked to look like it does for sloppy joes. Drain, add one or two cans of kidney beans, dice up one or two onions, depending on size. Add one of the following - I've tried this several ways - I've used regular tomato sauce - large can with a large can of tomato soup, I've also used spaghetti sauce traditional - nothing added to it. I will also add a can of tomato soup to it. When the noodles are ready I add all the above to a large pot or crock pot. No matter how I try to make it a small batch, it comes up large. To this I will add a large can or two of water and add chili powder. The last time I made it I used the entire bottle of chili powder. It wasn't hot. That's how much I had. It was perfect. Even my kids said it was good, not perfect, but they could taste the fact I put chili powder in it. I've also used whole canned tomatoes and stewed tomatoes with it. However, the last time I made it was with the spaghetti sauce and I loved it.

I don't actually make beef chili too often -- we ate it so often growing up. I prefer the cheap, canned beef chili, I know, isn't that odd? I do make a chicken chili though. It's chicken, navy beans, black beans tomatoes and spices. Sometimes I add cream soup to make it tamer

Great day for soup and chili beans. Keeps your blood warm and makes you feel so cozy. I made some vegetable soup today. It was awesome. I used crushed tomatoes, tomatoe paste and different varities of vegatables. like to eat grill cheese with soap and chili beens . it completes the meal.
