Can I say gay

Today I heard a guy say to another your gay and not to say happy gay but man and a man in England people each other names but it's still not allowed to say if someone is gay. Freedom of speech

It is insulting to tell someone that you think they are gay. On the other hand, if someone tells you that they are gay, that's alright. Go figure.

Unless, of course, it is someone's name, and then it is perfectly acceptable to use it freely. My parents have a good friend who is named Gaye.

I think that homosexuality should be protected by law.
