online selling products, how come

My friend gave me an idea starting selling home made products like pillow, toys through online sites. Is it possible, really do not have any idea on this, If this is so what should I require to sell legally, any license or any merits. Hope mylotters would have some experience selling products through online sites, please let me know about those

For what concerns license or other requirements I think that this is very different from country to country, I hope that someone from your country can reply.
