According to that experiment we know the cat is both live and dead,watched the Bigbang theater Sheldon told the answer,knowing and not knowing can be achieved by creating a macroscopic example of quantum superposition.The principle is that a physical system exists partially in all its possible states at once.

The experiment is theoretical; though I thought for years that Schrodinger was killing hundreds of cats to test his hypothetical theory
