Latin and Ballroom Dance Fitness

My daughter and her fiance are launching their dance academy this coming Monday. All set and their dance studio is ready for eager dancing beavers of all ages.
She's invited her father and me (in fact, our entire big family) to try out beginners' Ballroom and Latin Dance classes. And enroll to their Latin dance fitness classes, instead of Zumba, which I used to go to another dance studio (a competitor) with her.
I think my husband and I will greatly benefit from this new joint venture-- for exercise, enjoyment and thrill.
Have you any dance-fitness story to tell us, too?

I wish them much success. My only personal dance story, and it is a sad one, is that I took ballet class when in grammar school. My dream was to be beautiful and famous like Anna Pavlova. Unfortunately, I was the worse student in the class and didn't contine the next year.

Thank you, @besweet. Wow! Thanks for your vote of confidence. I will immensely enjoy it. I'd probably be very exhausted the first week but be enjoying it.

@everwonderwhy That's a good payment plan then. I learned a lot from the classes, especially how to let my body loose aqnd how to follow the dancing partner. It will be a nice workout for the whole body, let us know about your experience!

I have never joined a dancing class but would not mind joining one as I love to dance. It would be good and fun to learn how to dance properly.

Yes. How's it working out for that Dance Studio now?
I've been Ballroom & Latin Dancing since 1999 having made a number of performances in addition to regular lessons at many different dance schools. Recently I joined the State Titles & we won Silver. Then I flew to Melbourne for the National Competition & came fifth in Latin American. I wrote whole detailed articles on Bubblews when this happened, but now that they've shut down, they've taken all my articles with them! Arrggh!
I thoroughly recommend these dance styles to anyone who has all their limbs still intact for its multiple benefits.
