Couldn't Pass Up a Free Dinner

My son in laws mom is in the hospital with some serious heart issues. Yesterday my daughter and son in law wanted to go visit so they asked if their two kids could stay with me for a good part of the day. Who am I to turn down some fun with my grandkids! Today my daughter called and asked if I'd like to come over and have an early dinner. She made a big pot of meatballs, sausage and spaghetti. I'd have to be crazy to say no to an offer like that. It was a great day and we not only had a delicious spaghetti dinner with toasted garlic bread (I might add) but we watched the movie Mockingjay #2 which is the last movie in the Hunger Games series. I had wanted to see this movie for a long time so it turned out to be a thumbs up day. Now I"m home and pleasantly full. This is the first opportunity I've had to stop in to myLot today. I'm way behind in catching up with my notifications but I'm hoping I can widdle them down in the next day or two. So, please pardon my tardiness. Hope everyone had a good day today

I haven't been out for brunch in ages. Guess I should put it on my "to do" list and enjoy a nice time out. Hope your football team won

@Marilynda1225 Yes you should do brunch. I got so full I didn't eat the rest of the day.

It is funny how the fast the day goes by, isn't it? Nice that you had a chance to visit and enjoy a meal together.

Yes, I had a great day... but nothing like yours. Sadly we live too far away to be invited to dinner by the kids. But maybe someday!!

Glad you had a lovely day. I hope your son-in-law's mom recovers ok. (Widdle means something different to me than how you intend it)

Guess our choices of words doesn't translate the same. By widdle I meant go through and get them done. Using your meaning I'm embarrassed

Never worry about us. I have been gone most of the day, too. Most of us have busy lives. Happy to hear you had a wonderful day, despite your son-in-law's mother being in the hospital with serious heart issues. Hope she'll be okay. I made that for dinner last night with my special garlic cheese bread.

I seem to be busy all the time lately (which is good) but I do miss the time I spend here when I can't pop on

It sounds like you had a nice weekend. I hope that the mother in law recovers soon. We had garlic bread with cheese for supper also, I made a lasagna and we had that on the side.
