I am at work right now and usually I would be crocheting or knitting. I take care of an 82 year old man so I have a lot of free time most of the time. Today, I have been on myLot most of the time and I am loving it. It feels good to be here and enjoying reading and commenting on the many different discussions. I hope that I have more days like today.

As long as he's napping a lot. At 82 my mom was still very active with gardening and many other things.

He isn't very active right now. He sits in his chair or lays in bed and watches t v most of the time. He wants to do things so bad and hopefully he will before long.

@rebelann Yes, he had an accident and was in Denver for a long time. He came home in June of 2016. He is trying to build his strength up so he can do more. I started helping take care of him the middle of November and he has improved a lot. We have to be real careful as the skin on his arms is very thin and it rips open very easily.

@jaboUK Yes, the mind is important. It is great that you have been married that many years.

@velvet53 We've been married for nearly 52 years, but it's only in the last couple of years that he's really needed care. His mind is still sharp which is the main thing.

I'm sure you have a lot to do for him, but are lucky to have the time to myLot when he doesn't need your services.

Yes, I do keep busy at times here. Right now he is sleeping and all my work for the day is done except for the meals. So here I am. I need to pull an afghan out and work on it too.

He must not need a lot of care if you can be here while you're caring for him.

He does and doesn't. He just watches t v and reads. I have to help him to the bathroom, fix his meals, do his washing, move him from his bed to chair or vice versa. The little things that he can't do himself. He has a walker but someone has to be with him as he does lose his balance. They have a cleaning lady come in but I do keep the place up when I am here.
