We're twinning phones now - Apple iPhone 7 Plus!

I owned my iPhone 6 plus for almost 2 years and the rear camera has been acting up for almost a year now. I told myself, I'd wait until the newest 8 release, but my boyfriend surprised me by taking us to the mall and purchasing the phones!! He purchased the black for himself and I selected the gold again! I am super stoked with the new dual camera quality! 
Since we purchased sim-free unlocked phones at Apple, we went to our provider to get new sim cards for activation and then did a switcharoo for my parents' so now my dad is getting my boyfriend's old phone and my mom gets my dads old phone = win win situation for all.
Now that I have a functioning rear camera, I can take pictures again without having to lug around a DSLR or asking my boyfriend if I could borrow his phone when we're on the go!

Yes, its pricey but it's worth it because I use my phone often!
My mom now has a smartphone, she's been using an older phone that was experiencing some problems so it was frustrating for me to call her and not be able to reach her.

@infatuatedbby With my daughter it is of the same case . Her old iPad was handed down to me .
She said when she has her own job and she decides to buy a new iPad , she will give her mini iPad to me . Us, parents need not have those new models of gadgets . It's enough that we can text , call , use the internet using the gadget .

Yes, my parents' also - even though I insist to purchase them new products, they don't want it. They are grateful for the hand me downs and are fine with them too!

That's what I said, I'll wait too. My iPhone 6s plus was working perfectly well without any problem and same with my son's iPhone 6plus. But when the new iPhone 7plus were released, we were the first ones to get the new iPhone 7 plus in jet black.

@infatuatedbby Been enjoying it since November. As you know every year that iPhone releases a new one, the speed of the phone increases. Camera is good too especially in the dark.

@toniganzon Lovely! Do you use a case? I just finished transferring and updating my parents phones which they're using hand me downs of 5 & 5S. They don't use their phones often. They turn off their phones when they're home lol

My boyfriend said the same, just get it and when the 8 comes - think about that later. A few months late, but regardless if we got it in December it was backed ordered for the Plus til' then.

@Madshadi ah I hope so. Much better than my phone. I like to take pictures on the go and it's not convienent to lug a DSLR :)

Was there some sort of deal on the phones?
For Christmas last year I got each of my twins iPhone 5's, one in white, one in black. My son still has his, in perfect condition. My daughter shattered hers. So in November we went to look at getting her a new phone, and my oldest had a beat up iPhone 4 we wanted to replace for him. They had a buy one get one free deal on the Moto 7 so now they each have one of those. It's an awesome phone.. I actually want one for myself!

No, there weren't any deals. I wish though!
I did do some research while at the store and some stores like Target, offered $50 gift card if you purchased the phone but you had to pay for a two year contract.
I am not on a contract plan since our family plan expired so its just month to month. I did the calculations and its cheaper to pay upfront than to change with a two year contract. We are grandfathered in a good rate for four lines with unlimited talk/text & 15gb shared data.

My 6+ rear camera was MUCH crappier than the 5S! I would always reach for my boyfriends 5S at the time to take pictures. I was fed up with not being able to use the rear camera.

I am not too sure. Could always sell this phone and get the 8. We shall see in the mean time I'll enjoy this phone til' then! I normally upgrade every 2 years.

I'm using it right now but going sell it. Still functions just the main feature I like doesn't work work (rear camera) and not enough storage as this is 64gb only

Thanks! Hahah, I would borrow his phone to snap pictures. My previous phone (6+) the rear camera had problems. I had it fixed twice now its out of warranty and the quality sucks!
