In the Ghetto was a come back hit for Elvis, in 1969 and, was written by Mac Davis, the song tells the story of a young baby growing up in the ghetto and, eventually dying in the Ghetto, a very sad, but real song, it also talks about how fortunate people, should not just turn their head and, look away, they should try to help people, who don't have a way to help themselves or were born in to very bad situations, also a happy late birthday to the king of rock n roll, his birthday was I think the 8th. While I was growing up , i heard some of Elvis Presley's songs because my father has long playing album of his song . I like it that mostly are of upbeat tune . I can't remember if I have heard that song though . You are so young still , so I suppose you haven't heard his songs of long ago ?
