school and work, the balance is killing me!

Hey everyone, this is my first post on here, and I am sorry but I need to vent just a little bit! My (hopefully) last year of college starts next week and I just recently got a new job at my local hospital as a patient care technician, and the balance between the two is really stretching me thin. Before this job I was an EMT and worked on an ambulance for anywhere from 48 to 96 hours per week (in 24 hour shifts) so it isn't the amount of hours dedicated to either one that I am struggling with, it is just the fact that I have two very important things to do literally at all times and I feel like if I spend more time on one than the other, I am going to fail at the other one. Getting classes this semester has been a headache to say the least. Because of my new job, I have been trying to get ore night classes and online classes so that I can still work enough to pay my rent, but that has been no easy task. AND once I finally got a schedule to work, I got an email a few days later saying one of the classes I was enrolled in is being cancelled due to low enrollment. So that left m scrounging one week and a half weeks before the semester started to find a new class that worked with my work schedule and already decided upon class schedule. I finally ended up finding a class that worked, but it is going to end up dipping into my work schedule so that will be fun conversation with my boss! :/. Anyways, thank you all for reading this, I just needed to get a little bit off of my chest! I promise not all of my posts will be this long and boring lol. Have a great day everyone! :)

I hope you can survive this semester! Try to cut out any time on social media (like this) or TV- it will give you more time for studying or sleeping. It might be hard at first, but it really changes people's lives if they're addicted to either.

I have actually been doing that and it definitely does help. I deleted facebook and hardly ever use instagram so hopefully that helps out!

Hang in there, things will work out. Your boss will probably be understanding and try to work with you on your schedule.. Just let him/her know how important your schooling is. Good luck to you.
