Good morning. How are you all doing there. I was thinking about my old house in MA. It was a bungalow with a nice front porch. Sit outside and watch the world go by. People walking and waving etc. I missed that and the front porch. Some will stop by as we chat. This was in hard time. Everyone is friendly. Now today it is not like that. Yes,I miss my front porch.Do you have front porch on your house. Not a deck but a porch the photo is public. The porch pretty close what we had.

We have a little front porch, not much room there to put anything except a door mat and maybe a plant. It leads to a couple steps, then to a short walkway. I don't know if we will be at this house forever, but if we do move to another home, I hope we have a way bigger porch!

My porch is not like the one in the photo, but I grew up in a house with that porch. it was a lot of fun and back then people were not in such a hurry so we chatted often. My porch now is a deck. And the world has changes - everyone is in a hurry.

Every home we've owned in TN had a front porch. The photo is our last home. We had a beautiful view from up there.

No, I don't have a porch when you step outside the front door there is one chair, but I don't think of this as a big enough space for it to be a porch were someone could come sit and visit. I haven't seen a real nice sit down porch for a long time, none of the houses here really have them.

@amadeo If I had a porch like that I would be outside more often sitting there. I see that type of porch more in the county, where people do stop and visit and walk around more.

We have a front porch now, but I think that the days of someone actually walking by and taking the time for a chat are long over. How sad is that!!

Have you done an online search for your old address? We were amazed to see photos online of the areas we lived previously.

We had a small front porch when I was a kid in Chicago. I miss the days when neighbors knew each other.

What a cute front porch that is. My first house had one, because it was older and in a city. My house now is not conducive to one. Besides, there would be no one to talk to, since we sit on two acres. I do wave at neighbors and speak with them if I'm out on the front lawn with Doodles. Lol!

When I think of American houses I always envisage a porch with a rocking chair on it. I can understand why you miss yours so much.

I do have a front porch with a nice bench for sitting outside. I enjoy my front porch immensely and waving or chatting with the neighbors. I also have a deck in the back but my front porch is my favorite hangout

Many houses in Australia have front verandahs which have a couple of chairs sitting on them as though their owners like to sit and watch the world go by.
