Do images grow in our memory?

I have a strange thought. We have a get together of some old friends after about 16 years. Most of them i was meeting after 16 years. But i didnt see much difference in them thru years. We could identify well and seems like the look of the person not changed. But when after returning home i saw some old photos, they are all different. then how come my brain see them as the same person? My doubt is that, Is the images in our brain too get older as we get older? Someone has a similar feel?

I have experienced this feeling, it must have something to do with our brains.

It could be that you can't remember their old appearance though you were able to identify them at once in that get together because their change is just nil ,

Some of my old school friends haven't changed at all while others I can scarcely recognise.

Is it. But those who we feel not changed, actually have much changes if we look at old pics

But i bet they can. there is something in all of us that help friends identify us even after years.

I see a lot of people that I went to school with. Some seem to have not changed...and all of them recognize me right away.

Sometimes people do not change that much yet others really do change depends on what all they have been through

Some people do not change much over the years. I still picture those I know the same as when I knew them, until I meet them again.
