MyLot My Quiet Place

I come to MyLot after a tiring day, when I need a break from my chores, when I need some down time, and when I need to connect with others.
Mylot is on of my my quiet places, my safe space and I intend to keep it that way.
I like to read happy stories and even sad ones, interesting stories, boring stories and informative ones too.
I enjoy hearing about the families and friends and dogs and cats, tough days, great days and everything in between.
I avoid writing or reading anything that brings me down, confrontation, long protracted arguments, negativity and highly controversial and contentious issues.
I choose peace, the mundane, and so forth. Where or what is your quiet place?

I also enjoy coming here for some quiet time. I tend to block out whatever else is going on while I'm at the computer

Same here. I skip negative discussions because I'm already tired of my 2 jobs (online and offline) and have too many problems on my mind (mostly problems of clients). Because I already have too much on my plate, I prefer reading something that is more positive.

I feel the same. I too am involved with online work which takes a lot of my time so when I come here I don't need anymore hassles.

My quiet place is when I am reading a book. It is a way of escapism for me. Through reading the lines from a story, I can travel to places and feel myself in a world of adventures, love, and fun. My quiet place is also when I am writing something from my blog that I really love. It helps me know more of what I feel. It also serves as a stress reliever for me.

I feel the same way about MyLot. The only thing I differ with you on is the negative or down posts-everyone needs to rant, rave and vent at times and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I will be their listening ear and offer advice if I can. =)

I agree but that is OK I just choose what I read and what I engage in, I have no problem listening to personal life experiences good or bad and giving advice but that is different from the negatives I am referring to.
