I'm a jack of all trades. I can do many things, but nothing well, except cook gourmet food and teach. However, my daughter-in-law is very talented in many areas. She can practice law in both New York and Connecticut, is a certified scuba diving instructor, a certified dog trainer, a certified doula, a certified breast feeding nurse, a published writer, a baker, and a knitter. She took knitting lessons when pregnant with my ice princess and has made so many beautiful items. When I last saw her in late November, she was making up her own design for this sweater. As you can see, it is done and being modeled by the ice princess. Are you a knitter, too? Do do have any talents?

It looks lovely. My sister gave me a few crochet lessons during one of her visits - and the good old internet helped me with the rest. To date I have done scarves and hats.

@DianneN I haven't worn any of them. I give them to family and friends who visit from the UK and North America.

This sweater is pretty, I can knit, but it's not something I do a lot, it takes time and I have very little time.

@DianneN I prefer too, I made a small yellow cover for my niece last year, but I do not like this kind of tasks that take plenty of time.

Your daughter in law sounds very accomplished! Wow, she knitted that sweater? That's awesome! I think I've only learned to crochet - and even with that I've never done an actual project before. I'm a dabbler in many areas . . . yep, jack of all trades, master of nothing . But I do think I have/had some talent in skating (in comparison to other adults anyway), creativity in visual arts, and making people like me .

@DianneN Oh my gosh, I almost forgot about that scrapbook!! So apparently the teacher used my scrapbook as a model last year for the parents last year . . . and she says they didn't even come to close to what I did .

I like to knit, although I mostly make flat things--nowhere near good enough to make an adorable sweater like that. It;s nice that you have such a good relationship with your daughter-in-law. My parents adored my husband, and he adored them. I only met his once because they live in Japan, but they were quite nice to me.

It is a beautiful sweater knitted by your dear daughter in law. She seems to have lots of talents and you would be proud of her. I do not know how to knit but my wife knows knitting very well. When we got engaged, she gifted me a sweater knitted by her and it used to feel quite warm wearing that sweater.

@DianneN When I have free time I don't have a clue what to do with it. I suppose I should take up a hobby. I tried crochet once but as I said, I don't have the patience. I like to read, but have to have the time to finish the book in one sitting as I'm not able to put it down. Take out is what we generally have.. I dislike cooking!

Lol! You got me. I am knitting while mylotting now. The internet is so slow that I knit while blogging. I am also a jack of all trades but no specialty except that I am creative to many things. I designed my own knitted pullover many years ago when internet was not invented. Your daughter -in-law is a superwoman. That's a beautiful pullover worn by your pretty princess.
