Unusual Day

I just barely got started here this morning when I got a knock on the door and was told I need to move the car. They were salting the parking lot. It was already past the time I needed to move the car. So I hurried to get everything shut down and went shopping. I needed to anyway. The slip of paper also says the same thing for Friday morning. We are getting a new storm Thursday and Friday, so that's probably why.
So with two hours to kill, easy to do at Wal-Mart, I got a few groceries and got back shortly after 1 and had to leave again as I had a hair appointment scheduled. So I have been more out than in today.
I didn't go to the pool this morning and glad I didn't. It took maintenance men to help me to my car, that's how slippery it was. I'll need to look at the weather forecast again to see whether it would be a good idea to go to the pool tomorrow and Friday.
So now I'm looking beautiful with my new haircut, same style as in my profile picture and I have some food. Since I need to be gone on Friday as well, I'll pick up the rest of the groceries I didn't get today.

@just4him I grabbed a few things on my way out of the D store, hair spray, cause well cheap, and a couple windchimes I had been eyeing since we stocked them. Other stuff will wait a bit, nothing is that dire of a need atm

I'm so sorry you fell. I hope you're all right. I agree, it is bad out there. Take it easy and don't go out unless you absolutely need to and have help to your car.

It always feel good to get a haircut doesn't it. Good thing you didn't fall going to your car if it was that slippery. Hope the rest of the week goes by without too much weather trouble

When I got back the parking lot was well salted so there wasn't an issue between the store and getting my haircut. Tonight now, we're getting more rain, sleet, and ice. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. They are salting again.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything too exciting going on in my day, just the same old routine of work, work, work. Oh, we are having a big potluck breakfast at work today as a going away celebration for one of my employees who got a sweet management job in Austin, Texas. So that will probably be the excitement of my day.

Yes it was unusual day. I woke up only for few minutes in the morning. The tome it took me to write an email and then went right back to bed. I ended up sleeping more hours than I accustomed to. I vegged out half of my day today and I am still feeling tired.
