President George W. Bush and Wife Barbara in Hospital

I had the news on for a very short time this morning. I only wanted to see the weather report so I would know what to expect today and heard that President Bush Sr. was admitted to the hospital for shortness of breath. Then when I was on my way to my hair appointment I heard his wife, Barbara was also admitted to the hospital. President Bush is our oldest living president at 92 and his wife is 91. I also heard President Obama had a statement sending prayers for their health and healing.

I had heard about President Bush getting admitted to the hospital, but I hadn't heard that Barbara had been admitted also. Is she okay? What was the nature of her visit?

@just4him Well, at least they were both able to seek and receive medical care for their ailments. I hope they both make a full recovery!

Her's is similar to President Bushes, but stops just short of pneumonia which is what he has. At least that's what I understood.

I haven't heard this news yet. Time really flies so fast. I haven't realized that they are already so old ages yet.

That is sad. I hope they will be okay. They were not the best people in the world, but if they were to go, it should be peacefully.

I just heard about that. I wish them both well. His poor wife is probably frantic with worry and that couldn't have helped her. :(

No, but his son and his wife did. We now have 5 past presidents. George Bush Sr. is our oldest past president.
