So Wierd to be Home with the cat

I cannot get used to it. It feels like I should be back in London getting my grandson to nursery! I guess I was there so long I forgot the comforts of home. I did miss my cat though. As I drew up in the car she came bounding towards me and has not left my side since. Odd though. Freya knows to go next door for meals when I am away and sets herself up there. As soon as I was home she moved back after making it really clear she wanted me to go and knock next door to say. When I did she walked straight in and settled there while my neighbour and I chatted.

It is so nice that Freya has a good neighbor to help when you are not there.

Sadly no. Mental illness takes a long time although I think she is a lot better.

Cats are so funny. She's got everyone wrapped around her little paws and she knows it! Bless her. I always wonder what my cats are thinking if I go away. I wonder if they worry about me being gone for so long!!

I would love to attach a GoPro. However, Freya is an escape artist and loses any collar in minutes and it might be an expensive loss.

I really am enjoying being home and able to do my own thing for a bit. I love my daughter and grandson dearly, but I needed a break.

@JudyEv Hi Judy, It is more a matter of not always running down there now. I will go again in Feb, but I am trying to hold out till the date I set. If we lived nearer each other it would be so much easier. This time I am determined to have three weeks in my own home.

@Jackalyn It will be good if you are able to take regular breaks. You will be able to help them for much longer with regular respite.

I hope the distance didn't make her a total stranger to you. Such a beautiful cat.

Rather the opposite. Absence made kitty heart grow fonder.

Pets do appreciate when their loved ones return. Everything is right in their world too.
