Boobie Problem

In one of my previous posts I had mentioned that I had to have a secondary mammogram and an ultrasound on my left boobie because the first mammo showed a distinct shadow. The second one came back and apparently I have a cyst (accumulation of fluid) because the ducts are dilated behind the nipple. Normally this happens to women aged 35-50 who are pre-menopausal and menopausal. Well, folks, at 65, I think I'm beyond that point, don't you? I swear it's all the chemicals, pesticides, hormones, steroids and antibiotics in our foods today that is screwing with our bodies. Now if for some reason I become pregnant (considering I haven't had sex in 13 years), I'm really going to freak out. I have to go back for another mammo in 6 months; providing the boob doesn't fall off or something. Or suddenly I have a size D on the left and an A on the right.

We need to get back to basic natural eating. Cooking from scratch instead of rushing off to the nearest fast food joint or grabbing a box of instant something from the shelf. We're only hurting ourselves when we do.

I'm with ya there @just4him . What gets me is that I eat out only once a year and that's because my sister comes to visit and she takes me to a restaurant. As long as I had my organic farm, I was good; but with the spinal injuries, I could no longer do it. And why organic food in the stores costs so much is beyond me; particularly when there is "LESS" crap in it.

@just4him I believe you are 100% correct on that.

Better a cyst than cancer Nanette. Do you have to have treatment for it?

Depending on what happens in the next 6 months @jaboUK , they may have to drain it with a needle.

Me too @TiarasOceanView . Considering all the other stuff that's happened to me, I don't need any more.

I am so happy it's only a cyst, I had one when I was a lot younger.

@nanette64 My husband has plenty of small problems right now, he has a flu, a herpes on his right eyelid, he has to see the physiotherapist because of a very bad back ache... poor hubby, he is aging.

That sounds pretty painful. Are they going to do anything about it?

It's all going to depend on the progression @Happy2BeMe . If it grows and gets more painful before the next mammo, then they'll have to use a needle to drain the cyst.

@Happy2BeMe I know I should. I'm just not a pill-popping person. But then on the other hand, if it helps, it's worth it.

@nanette64 well I hope that isn't the case. I see Tina on here has the same problem and they told her to take vitamin E.

It's difficult avoiding all the chemicals and rubbish around the place. Even the soil is becoming less and less 'pure'.

Not to mention the GMO's (Genetically Modified) seeds @JudyEv . That term in parenthesis pretty much explains that we are nothing but guinea pigs for the companies that make the stuff.

I think you are right about the chemicals. I have to go for an endo on Monday morning and am a little scared. The worst past is the 24 hour fast. It is hard to worry and not snack.

My fingers are crossed on the endo @AunBecky . I hate the fasting stuff too. And at only 113 lbs, it's like seriously?

I imagine the next possible step will be needle drainage @amitkokiladitya . I just wish I knew what was causing the ducts to be dilated.

All of those things you mentioned - chemicals, pesticides etc. can wreak havoc on the human body.

And my question is why!!! There is no need at all. If you ask me @Kandae11 , it's a new method of population control.
