Procrastination

Last weekend I had a house full of little people.. We had a great time....reading books, colouring, playing outside.....feeding the fire. They were gone by lunch on Sunday and I had reclaimed my sewing room before dinner. Since then, I've been wanting to get at the big Rubbermaid tote of fabric to sort it out, cutting the smaller scraps into uniform pieces and folding the larger pieces and adding them to the already sorted fabric in my fabric pantry. Somehow I keep finding distractions...yes a few pieces have been trimmed, pressed and folded....others have been cut into squares. Meanwhile I discovered this pattern for cute little bags. They take minimal time to make and use up some fairly small pieces. These little bags will make excellent bags for gifts. The smaller one could contain a coffee mug of something along those lines. I'm thinking, the grandkids might like them in Easter colours filled with some kind of treat. I could also make them a bit large and that would only increase the number of things they could be used for.

They are certainly cute little bags. It didn't take you long to reclaim your room, did it?

No....the sewing room helps me keep my sanity...I had a year of my "sewing room" being the back entryway. My sewing paraphernalia being scattered and tucked into random corners,

@Morleyhunt It is great to have your own area where you can set up and leave things set up.

@JudyEv right now it's a big mess. I was working until hubby came home last night, and then headed out the door early this morning. Now I'm trying to make a new heart wreath....I sold the other one.

I have fabric, I have some inspiration and if I use some of my fabric, I can justify buying more.

These will be used as gift bags...I'm hoping to make the granddaughters some new dresses...maybe, they'll each receive a matching bag.

@reskyyandi I am technologically challenged. I may be good at making/crafting things...but my last attempt at a tutorial was a bust.

Lovely, those are really lovely and would make great Presents for Easter or any other time I would say. There are some great Coffee Mugs around too and you could fill them up with their favourite Sweets or something like that or bars of Chocolate.

I'm sure I won't have a problem finding things to fill them with. I have one already filled and ready to be gifted....now I just need to connect with the recipient.

I really love these bags! My first thought when I saw them was, wouldn't they be cute for children to tote their crayons in? I'm going to show this picture to my son's fiancée, she will love them! Great idea

Thanks. They're fun to make. A little bigger and they'd be good for your crocheting.

@Morleyhunt I know how you feel. There are days I just want to sit and relax and not do anything else even if have to get lots done.
