Ice Boat

I think this morning was the coldest of the winter, so far, and I decided to explore the, sort of, polar landscape along the canal.
The sunken boat, that I wrote about in November, hasn't moved, but it is lower in the water. At the moment, like HMS Terror and HMS Erebus, she is caught in the tight clutches of an sheet ice.
The ice covering the canal was pretty thick and I couldn't break it with my walking stick. I have to admit that I didn't put too much effort into it as if it did crack I would probably fall into the fresh ice hole.
Very nice to get back home and enjoy a good cup of tea. Forgot the crumpets, though!

Amazing! I wonder how deep the water is where the boat is? I know it felt good to get back home to a good cup of tea!
