Sunday - Sleeping - Raining - Eating - Worrying - Crying

What a day...
It has poured buckets of rain all day. Love the rain.
I have slept literally all day. Must have been tired, because I never do this... I have almost slept too much, because I feel more tired. They say too much sleep, can make you more tired.
Inbetween me being in and out of consciousness...I have watched/listened to an all day marathon of CSI Miami...while munching on a tuna sandwich.
All the while: crying, and worrying, about whether I will, or will not, be homeless.
Talk about multi-tasking.

I'm sorry to hear about you possibly becoming homeless. If that does happen our church will help you. It's Duval Station Baptist Church, they helped us when we were homeless. They put us up in a motel and fed us until we could get back on our feet. Their an amazing church! And if there's anything my husband and I can do to help-we will! We aren't far from each other I'm sure.

@teresatrotter We weren't members of their church when they helped us. We went there with a prayer and they helped. They adopted us like we were their own. We live in Orange Park, we used to live on the North Side but just recently moved here. Their located in Oceanway.
You can call and ask them if there's anything they can do for you, they help many people through out the community-members or not.

Also... Churches tend to only help the members of their congregation at the level you received help. If they could...and I know hotels can be expensive, maybe they could just help with my rent. The place I am on a waiting list for will not be available for at least a year, and I want to live at the beaches, but maybe they could help me find another place that will base my rent on my income? It is just a thought.

The sleep is probably due to the stress and depression. When I get stressed and worried I'm always more tired.. but I have too many responsibilities to be able to give in and sleep all day.

This is an experience many will not understand because they have never been there.
Some who have had such an experience might have some good ideas that could help you.
The only group we have heard of that helped most was Catholic Charities. No, you don't have to be Catholic to get help.

I was homeless for two years, and lost every material possession I own. I know you don't have to be Catholic, but they only help with housing if you are homeless. And they minimally help with everything else...once a year only. The only time I have gotten additional help, is with private donations from others who just want to lesson my pain.

@teresatrotter In one area we are familiar with, the priest of the local church gave checks to women needing $ for electricity. It is weird how one section of the country differs from another.
